The Geneva office of ICVolunteers is looking to reinforce its team. In joining us, you will have the opportunity to participate in the realization of new projects with a young and dynamic team.

The Coordination Team of ICVolunteers-Switzerland manages the day-to-day operations of the association. As a member of this team, you will discover the many different facets of a non-profit organization: communications, fundraising, the conception and supervision of projects as well as administrative tasks. The work schedule is flexible and will be established according to your availability. We are in particular looking to fill the following positions:

Project coordination

  • Identify projects in collaboration with the Coordinator and President of ICV-Switzerland
  • Conduct online research to document a project
  • Get in touch with project partners
  • Establish needs for the project
  • Write project descriptions for online publications
  • Analyse CVs and recruit volunteers in coordination with Coordinator and President
  • Prepare documentation for training modules for volunteers
  • Organize training sessions for volunteers
  • Liaise with volunteers by phone, email and mail
  • Ensure follow-up and good management of the project

Fundraising

  • Conduct online research and documentation for different kinds of funding. Fundraising is done around projects and/or overall support for the association
  • Identify French public funding: communes, departments, regions and Europe
  • Study possibilities of transnational partnerships with organizations in Switzerland and international NGOs
  • Identify private funding

Translation and proofreading

  • Translation of a range of different documents (information about projects, internal documents...) for publication on the web site
  • Proofreading of web profiles and/or translations

Your Profile

  • Have an interest in the inner-workings and management of newly-established organizations
  • Have an interest in volunteerism and its promotion
  • Enjoy teamwork
  • Demonstrate a spirit of initiative
  • Exhibit strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Master both English and French, basic knowledge of another language is a plus

Your responsibilities

  • Help set up the new structure by actively participating in both the conceptualization and the realization of diverse projects
  •  Ensure the continuous follow-up of ongoing projects
  • Other tasks to be defined
